Here it is six days before Christmas. More importantly, you only have a day or two to get stuff ordered and shipped. So, if you need some last minute gift ideas for the marathon or other runner in your life, here's some Amazon.com suggestions. Disclaimer: I haven't read most of these and take no responsibility if it sucks. Also, these links use my affiliate ID so if you click on them and do buy it, you'll be putting a few cents in my pocket. If you don't want to do this, no problemo. If you have any other suggestions, please leave a comment. The Complete Book of Running by James Fixx. This one is a classic that is still relevant. Runner's World Complete Book of Running : Everything You Need to Know to Run for Fun, Fitness and Competition by Amby Burfoot (Editor). Winner for marathon title. From the good folks at Runner's World. Galloway's Book on Running 2 Ed by Jeff Galloway. Maybe you've heard of this guy :-) I know not everyone agrees with his method but many people do and have used it to get started running. The Running Trivia Book : 1001 Questions from the Sprints to the Marathon by Mark Will-Weber. Who doesn't enjoy some good running trivia? Friday, December 16

In the spirit of linking to other blogs in the same niche, here's some other blogs I've run across about the Disney Marathon (past and present):
Thanks to The Disney Blog for some of the links above. Are there any I missed--leave a comment? I'll be using these to create a blogroll component shortly. Thursday, December 15

It has been decided. I'll be doing the 2007 Disney Marathon. I've decided to make this blog a place where other racers can get info. on the Disney Marathon and Half from a local participant. This will be a combination of running tips, my training progress, and tips on where to stay/eat/drink/etc. if you are coming to Orlando for this race. Since 2007 is a bit far, I'll start out by laying the groundwork for the race this year and what to expect for next year. Subscribe to my RSS/XML feed to stay up to date. |
